Last Pebble Frogame Original
About Last Pebble
Last Pebble is a compact take-away strategy game made independently for Frogame. You and the computer share one pile and take turns removing one, two or three pebbles. Taking the final pebble loses the round.
Six challenges start with 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18 pebbles. You go first, and every starting pile has a winning route. The computer plays a winning move when one exists. Its response appears immediately after your move.
How to Play
Choose Take 1, Take 2 or Take 3. You cannot take more pebbles than remain.
Read the move summary to see both your choice and the computer response.
Leave the computer with the last pebble. Win to unlock Next, or use Retry to start the current challenge again.
Last Pebble Tips & Tricks
- Work backwards from a pile of one pebble: the player facing it must lose.
- Try leaving 1, 5, 9 or 13 pebbles to the computer.
- Hint identifies a winning move when one exists. If the current position is losing against perfect play, undo rather than expecting a guaranteed escape.

Last Pebble FAQ
Does the computer ever deliberately make a mistake?
No. It takes a winning move when available. When no winning move exists, it takes one pebble.
What does Undo restore?
Both your latest move and the computer response. Undo after a completed round lets you explore an alternative.
How are attempts counted?
Your first take starts an attempt. Win, loss or Retry ends it. A move after undoing a completed round begins another attempt.
